The Lure
I thought I’d never feel this way again
But I’ve fallen again
For you I fell, harder than before
Your smile was like a lure
Your eyes drew me closer
Though I was cautious,
Curiosity swayed my heart
Oh how your voice could tame the wildest of beasts
And your laugh could cool the boiling seas
For you are perfection.
You are delight hidden in great sorrow.
With each step I get closer,
I’m struck with your en chantry.
But it is too late,
I cannot turn away
Your beauty is a vice
Clamped firm upon my soul
I cannot escape
Nor should I desire to
