Envy
The world is not blue, no,
I say that it is green.
I say it is green because
I do not like blue.
And if I do not say,
I mean the color blue,
and its emotion and feeling
and abstraction.
The world is green because
it does not receive the things
that it would want.
I say green because green
is the color of envy,
and what is envy but
something one wants
never realizing one has enough?
What does the world want?
What does it want,
that it does not already have enough of?
Does it not want life?
What wishes the world?
Would it rather exist
as others do? Hollowed and cold,
forever suspended in the sky?
Is the world green because
it knows no other color?
